Honeymoon over?

Postby Andro Palos on Mon Jun 28, 2010 1:54 pm

My machine was down and I finally got back after a month to check on harvestors, etc. I noticed that there was none of us around and no one has posted here in almost two months. Did everyone give up on this? Are we waiting for some patches to come through?

I tried it for a while, but I guess since I left before SOE f'ed up the game the first time I've already had enough of it.

After the group xp bug I didn't think there's any group play supported ingame, and I don't think it's fixed yet. If you can't play with others, SWG, old or EMU, isn't that much fun because you max out your skills, etc. early on. And it's 2010 so the game is showing it's age.

Main reason I couldn't get back in were because my college exams. Until they patch the game, I can't really get back in. I'm done with WoW for a while (maybe until xpac) and EVE is what I'm playing now. I'm getting on my last year of college so I probably won't have free time to play anything other than EVE, except for TOR maybe.

We had a lot of fun playing for awhile but the biggest problem for me was the group xp bug. You can't group with more than 2 people and that BLOWS.

If they wipe the servers and fix that, we might give it another shot, but I got tired of crafting and it was no fun hunting once I hit MTK and couldn't group with anyone.

I maxed out my skills. Had fun with that for awhile. Then that was it. No player housing. No support for grouping. So no community. No community, no Tiber. :(

Plus I am in my last term of my master's program and my capstone course is a BALL BUSTER!!

I plan to periodically check in on the game and try again after (if) there is some forward movement.

I had a BLAST while it lasted though!

Yeah, the group bug was basically a deal breaker because of the fact that it made hunting completely useless. Without housing (and factories) crafting was extremely difficult.
